
About Us
We are a student organization at Wayne State University that meets once a week to do meditations, talk about mindfulness, watch inspirational videos, journal on different quotes and prompts, and go on nature walks. Our main goal is to help students balance their busy schedules with something to relax with. Meditation is the perfect way to calm down all the stress and anxiety throughout the day, and it helps build a positive attitude for the upcoming events/ classes. We incorporate some of the principles of MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) to help beginning meditators get the most out of their experience. We meet once a week during the fall and winter semesters. We also occasionally host special events with guest speakers.
